Scratch Rough Cut 2
Feedback
What Went Well:
After reviewing, the composition of our opening sequence made sense and has created suspense through the dark and dull tones; and the music set an eerie sense of fear upon our audience.
Even Better If:
The next step is to organise our titles and make them spread out more - for a consistent appearance - so that the audience doesn't lose focus of the plot (if the titles appear too rapidly in a short space of time)

Editing 2 | Changing Effects and Colours
Also, we've joined the two footages, but starting the second copy a second later to show loss of control.
In addition, we've also used the "razor" tool to cut down the lengths of footages to make the opening more thrilling and intense, holding the attention of our audience.
To also add a sinister tone to our audience, the vignette effect and blurred effects in our opening to depict a nightmare, alongside our audio track of "Drone" to subliminally generate fear.
Some footages appear more brighter than others and we had to lower the brightness and highlights to keep a consistent pattern to make each footage transform seamlessly onto the next.
We cropped our last footage of an extreme closeup of Alix to make an unexpected stop to our opening- this will leave the audience questioning what happened next and continue watching our film!
When it came to composing our opening, we used a range of long to closeup shots to break the empty space and unexpectedly draw our audience to different features of our Protagonist.
Also, we had to use foley sound to create the primary sound of the Protagonist's footsteps. We cropped each step with the razor tool and had to connect the visuals to the sound by copying and pasting them throughout the timeline. To make it more realistic, we used the pen tool to create dynamics of the sounds (making it quieter/louder).

Using Premier Pro, our overall footage is complete - no need for re-recording again! So within the next week or so, we're finalising our title sequence and footage.
Within the video above, I've spoken about using the Pen Tool. This was effective in introducing and stopping subtle sound effects to generate suspense, as opposed to throwing our audience off with a sudden sound that doesn't seamlessly transition throughout our opening.
