Question 4: Who would be the audience for your media product?
Audience: a group of spectators or viewers to market your product to.
Target audience: a set group of individuals based on age,social groups,gender etc which you specifically market your product to.
An audience is necessary for the succession of a media text as without an audience their is no one to watch and compliment your product in the same way their is no one to criticise it. Without an audience, my film would not be successful as no one would buy tickets to see it or use word of mouth to promote to others to watch.
The wider audience is teenager/young people generally. They are the main source of income for thrillers and horror movies. But most independent films are aimed at middle aged adults, we got feedback from our media teacher and an old friend who fit this group to make sure we also aimed it at them.
Our unique selling point was teenagers. We found this by getting verbal feedback from our class and other students to see if they enjoyed it and getting them to critic our film so we could change it to their preferences,

Final Blog Post | The Sign Off!
This year's journey through media has been an amazing one! Despite the stress from all the work, it's payed off after the premiere of "Scratch", when you realise that all the time put into the project was worth it! Through new obtained skills and knowledge, I'm looking forward to applying these new skills into future projects with media and outside of school! Thank you for letting us be creative c:
